Hyderabad: In a move aimed at enhancing Telangana State’s IT capabilities, Duddilla Sridhar Babu, IT and Industries Minister, has called for Nasscom’s partnership with the Young India Skills University, an initiative launched by the State government.
During a meeting at the Secretariat on Wednesday, Sridhar Babu held discussions with Rajesh Nambiar, President, Nasscom (National Association of Software and Service Companies), on various topics concerning the IT and industry sectors.
The Minister emphasized the growing importance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and requested Nasscom’s support in training IT professionals and engineering graduates to meet the demands of the fast-evolving technological landscape.
The Minister also highlighted that Hyderabad has become a key destination for global IT companies, with new firms setting up operations in the city. He urged Nasscom to leverage its influence to further enhance Hyderabad’s position as a global IT hub.
Looking ahead, the Minister expressed confidence that Telangana would emerge as a leading State in India’s IT sector in the coming years. He pointed out that under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s leadership, the state has successfully established a world-class ecosystem, which is set to attract more investments and opportunities in the IT domain.
The meeting was attended by Nasscom representatives Srikanth Srinivasan and Praveen and others.
